Transportation in Miami is efficient, clean
and reasonable. Some people prefer to hire a car to
do their running about and this gives them more freedom

Transit is the largest in Florida. Transport is composed
of Tri-Rail, Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover
and there is Electrowave. There is also Paratransit
for those with medical and mobility difficulties;
however, the Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover are
full accessible offering mobility for those with disabilities
too.

Electrowave
The Electrowave goes in South Beach and has 22 stops

Metromover is a free fully automatic service that

with Metrorail at Brickell Station and at Government
Center. There are 21 stops in all, give or take a
station every two blocks. Thjs service makes shopping
and getting around Miami Downtown simple, speedy and
comfortable.
Metrobus
The Metrobus service is countywide from Miami Beach
to West Miami-Dade and also from south Broward Country
to the Middle Keys. Routes operate 24 hours a day.
The fare box takes tokens and also dollar bills plus
quarters, dimes and nickels for a fare of $1.25.
Metrorail
The 22 mile rapid transit system is elevated
and has stops about one mile apart. It runs from Kendall
via South Miami, Coral Gables, Downtown Miami and
to northwest Miami Dade with connections to Broward
and Palm Beach at the Tri-Rail transfer station. The
Metrorail fare gate takes tokens, dollar coins, quarters,

Leon boulevard to connect with a Metrorail station
(from 7am to 7pm Mondays to Thursdays and until 10
pm on Fridays.
Tri-Rail
Tri-Rail is for longer distances and serves Miami
to Fort Lauderdale on up to Palm Beach.
